I love Nozomi

If you have never been in Japan, quite likely you could think that Nozomi (のぞみ) is just the fastest Shinkansen train to serve the subjects of His Imperial Highness the Emperor of the Rising Sun. That is a correct assumption. However, when I think about Nozomi, I am rather referring to Sasaki Nozomi, the cutest — kiree! — girl you could ever dream to see in the land of kawaii-ness.

Japanese girls are all beautiful

There is no Country in the world with more beautifully beautiful girls than Japan. I have seen really nice looking girls in Denmark, and some in Stockholm’s Central Station — in the last case, they were mostly having a Middle Eastern or Asian background. But nothing compared to Japan. That is just one of the many reasons why I consider this ancient Empire as the best place where I have ever lived.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Sasaki Nozomi. However, browsing Google is possible to find some hundred thousands more.
I guess, I am not the only one in love.

Baka gaijin

Nozomi Sasaki played several TV ADs for the Fit’s chewing-gums. I loved them. They are in some way “Japanese” as you may imagine Japan to be — if you have learned about the Country through the eyes of Hayao Miyazaki. My Japanese friends — and the gaijins I met there — know very well how I enjoyed singing the catchy song of the commercial:

Kamu to funyan nyan nyan nyan nyan funyan
Kamu to funyan nyan nyan nyan nyan
Kamu to yawaraka Lotte no Fit’s (Fit’s!)

I have been also performing it on stage (baka gaijin!), at a rock concert in Tenjin, Fukuoka. There are some pictures around, and also a video. But I guess you will enjoy more to watch the original one with Nozomi!

  1. Among her colleagues she’s known as “no mercy” Nozomi, though… Not exactly what you’d expect from a Yamato Nadeshiko.
