The 2012 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the European Union “for over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe”.
I always though my first one was going to be the Literature one. Eventually, my second Nobel Prize was supposed to be the one for Physics. However, I would have never imagined to win the one for Peace. You should have seen the excitement and joy in the eyes of all my colleagues, today. We won — and share — the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, guys! Let’s celebrate!
Who actually won it?
I guess every one may interpret it as it fits better for them. However, knowing that what I do everyday at work is a little part of a larger project worth a Nobel Prize, gave me some satisfaction! Somehow it is like the day when the Swedish Royal Academy of Science will give the Prize for Physics to someone for the Higgs Boson: some tens of thousands physicists around the world will feel that they are part of it!
I just wonder now, if I have to write it in my curriculum. I guess I will. For now, I will update my Facebook status!
